This Diwali, let's bring geometry to light 

Open to School Students, Teachers, Parents, and Science Enthusiasts


To celebrate Diwali — the festival of lights — creatively and educationally, Kalpakghar, Community Tinkering Centre, is conducting a hands-on workshop titled “Geo-Lanterns.” The initiative aimed to blend the festive spirit with STEM learning, allowing participants to explore geometry through art and craft. The activity encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and spatial understanding among children and visitors. 

Geo-Lantern is a DIY lantern workshop inspired by Archimedean and Platonic solids. Assemble die-cut squares and triangles using rubber bands to create a glowing masterpiece.

Student/Teacher/Parent can collect kits from Kalpakghar, Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park

Note: Participation in Kalpakghar programmes is free of charge. However, the Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park entry fee is mandatory and is payable separately by visitors/participants.

Kalpakghar — Community Tinkering Centre is initiated by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, in collaboration with Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park, and under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Tata Technologies Limited. 

The entire workshop programme is sponsored by Tata Technologies Limited under its CSR STEM Initiative. Therefore, there will be no financial implications for the participating schools or teachers for these workshops.

STEM Summer Workshop Series 2026 KALPAKGHAR - Community Tinkering Centre is delighted to organize a month-long Summer STEM Activities Program from 1st May to 31st May 2026, designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and scientific thinking among students & visitors of Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park. The program combines fun and learning through hands-on activities, encouraging children to explore concepts engagingly.
