Visit Format

Visits to Kalpakghar – Community Tinkering Centre are designed as engaging, interactive learning experiences and typically last 3–4 hours. Visits are offered in morning or afternoon sessions and are available for school, junior college, senior college, and other student groups.

Please note: Kalpakghar is closed on Mondays.

A typical visit includes:

  • Introduction to IISER Pune: Students receive an introductory talk covering the institute’s philosophy, academic programmes, and admission procedures.
  • IISER Pune Information Film: Visitors watch a short film providing an overview of IISER Pune and its academic and research environment.
  • Hands-on Science Activities: A dedicated team from the Science Activity Centre, IISER Pune, will conduct interactive science displays, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, providing students with opportunities to explore scientific concepts through experimentation, observation, and discovery.
  • Science Park Exploration: Students get an opportunity to explore the Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park and engage with its exhibits.

Note: Participation in Kalpakghar programmes is free of charge. However, the Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park entry fee is mandatory and is payable separately by visitors/participants.
